Catfish Po-Boy (Dressed), Fried Okra and Iced Tea
for supper tonight, with a generous lathering of Crystal Hot Sauce. Maybe some Blue Bell Natural Vanilla Ice Cream and Chocolate Syrup for dessert. Then retire to the south Patio with the Times-Picayune awaiting the arrival of 5-5-5.

5. We are a few miles south of
Picayune, and more importantly less than 60 miles from New Orleans. You are up by Starkville?? Suppers on about 4:30ISH ... Awesome weather this last month. We haven't used the heater since late March and have yet to turn on the air conditioner. I'm looking forward to the next electric bill. Ya'll take care way up North.

I'm only one county away from Picayune and maybe 35 miles north as the crow flies.

6. Hi Cotton Bear
We have had an incredible spring so far. No need for heat or air conditioning since late March. The Impatiens are acting like Dollarweed, just taking over the place. We have three pair of ruby throated grossbeaks hanging out in our one acre. The wave petunias are acting like big pantied party girls, just showing themselves all over. And hurricane season is just around the corner. My lovely wife is taking me to the University of New Orleans baseball game next Saturday and feeding me Hot Dogs for my birthday. It just don't get any better.

did I mention the Catfish will be blackened?

The food descriptions are just killing me!

:hi: Happy birthday in advance and have a good time at the game.

My filly's birthday is today! Cotton is 2 years old.

edit: I hope this year's hurricane season is milder

Strap on the feedbag. I promise, if you can't make it, I won't tell you how good it was. Mouthwatering farm raised catfish, hot sauce, onions, lettuce, breaded okra. I think its time to terminate transmission.

I'm very tired from a late Tuesday night at the office. I had a HUGE deadline, which I met and my client was very happy with my design for his site. I then went out to the farm where my filly lives, wished her happy birthday (with 4 sugar cubes) and finally made my way home. My garden is stil a mess from the late spring rains and wind. This weekend will be spent raking and pruning and planting.

I hope that your Po Boy was delicious. I'm sure that the view from the patio was splendid! Your comment about Wave petunias cracked me up!

Mr. CottonBear and I would love to meet up with you and Mrs. BOSSHOG and any other Duers in the area when we visit our Louisina relatives this summer. Maybe Cafe du Monde or a French Quarter restaurant or a coffee shop in Olde Town Slidell would be appropriate. We'll give you a heads up when we finalize the dates.

Bueno Cinco de Mayo! Viva Mexico! Adios mi amigo, BOSSHOG

tu amiga, CottonBear

Every time you post, I crave my oyster po'boys, gumbo and etouffe...

and I just saw a sign by the side of the road today...LIVE CRAWFISH $1.99 per pound (you DO know Luzianna is getting their crawfish from California these days?)

on edit: Oh and keep the BlueBell..I never understood why Texans were so proud of that stuff

27. Where Crawfish comes from is probably
the number one issue amongst south Louisianians and South Mississipians this time of year. Buck-99 a pound is a good deal. I'm not much of an ice cream eater but Blue Bell Natural Vanilla is my crack and whomever makes it can be very proud. I'll keep posting so you'll keep craving. I know I'll be in the quarter in the next couple of weeks and peruse the menu of another restaurant. I won't live long enough to enjoy them all. Pinch, suck, enjoy. R/BH
