Anyone watch American Idol?

My daughter told me I should watch, and now I am hooked.

There is a lot of talent and I love watching Paula act like a lap dog to everyone who opens their mouth.

That girl Carrie last night was pretty damn good!

I like Bo and Vonzell, personally. I just hope that Scott and Anthony aren't in the bottom 3.

2. paula has learned to give people the thumbs down as needed, but

it obviously pains her, and, generally, she only does it in the early rounds.

the final half dozen or so can do no wrong in her book.


that being said, you can still tell. there's a difference between high praise and overwhelming praise.

4. Watching it for the first time since the initial season

I am generally enjoying the performances although I've questioned some of the viewers judgements when it's been "voting" time to where I think people are voting for the person and not the performance.

While Carrie has a nice voice, she still doesn't have much stage presence after all this time and I get the impression that half the time she's doesn't really comprehend the lyrical tone of what she's singing (she has said as much regarding some performances).

That said, I will concede that her version of "Trouble" yesterday kicked some butt and it will most likely be her and Bo in the final two.
