Can anyone recommend a good ASP book?
I'm taking a new job and I have to switch from Cold Fusion to ASP and get up to speed pretty quickly - I'll be maintaining an existing application.

I'm an experienced Cold Fusion person and I have studied some of the major languages like Java, C++, VB, etc.

3. O'Reilly has always been good to me
Whether you'll be working in ASP or ASP.NET environments O'Reilly has great resource books. What languages will you be working in?

11. Then you'll be dealing with ASP
I work in both ASP and ASP.NET formats. They both have their pros and cons.

Nice Meezer!

4. Try "ASP for Dummies"
I'm a Java & C++ guy and it got me going pretty quickly. Not very in-depth, of course, but you can always get a more complete reference later.

9. If it's ASP.NET, try the QuickStart that comes with Framework...
it's free and it's interactive.

10. I teach this stuff
The best book for beginners is Murach's ASP.NET book.

http://www.murach.com/index.htm

I've reviewed a boat load of books on different programming languages.

The Murach books are the best!
