This was inspired by a conversation I overheard this afternoon between two people who seemed to be about 18 years old. One guy, one girl. They started off ok, talking about humility (not a topic I hear discussed or even mentioned very often!) and then it devolved into them ARGUING as to who was more humble! They even went into all the different areas of life in which one of them was more humble than the other. (Apparently the girl is more humble when it comes to her looks, which prompted him to say "well, we can see why." I think they were siblings.)

I was in a waiting room type situation and it would have been rude to laugh, but I'm tellin' ya, I had to stifle some pretty rambunctious giggles listening to them.

"Oh YEAH? Well I'm more humblier than you!" LOL! (No one said that but I kept expecting it.)

So. How humble are YOU?

my ego can get out of control & i fall victim to my own self-absorption

i have been fortunate to experience moments of humility when my ego gets out of control... those keep my soul in check

i really believe humility is good medicine for the soul... it also teaches you compassion :)
