Smart computer people: is this a good buy?

I need another computer; and want wifi (so I can drive my Subaru to the bookstore and look cool)--but, I don't need a new one with all that "stuff" on it---

What do you think?

3. I had a little Dell

laptop for years. Loved that little thing. Took spills and drops like nothing happened. Price looks pretty good but if you can go a little more look at a new Averatec, they are very light weight and not very expensive. Got it about 9 mos and doing well and it comes 'out' with me. Wifi is just great.

4. the seller has a good positive rating...but it IS used.

if it works as advertised, that's a very fair price, considering its less than a new lower end dell laptop.
you won't get the system disk, though. so unless you already have one, consider your cost will be about 90 bucks more at least.

hey, I've had mostly good luck on ebay myself. out of hundreds of transactions, been ripped off only twice.

5. Seems like alot for a 1 ghz machine.

Plus, it's got only got 256mb of ram and so you're relegated to running an obsolete operating system. I wouldn't buy it.
