Should we DU American Idol votes for no particular reason?

Is there a contestant we know is a progressive or liberal we can all vote for?

Can we all vote for a favorite Idol in our poll and then agree to go along with the DU consensus and vote for them on FOX?

Or can we just pick someone at random to get behind just to see what happens?

It would be interesting to see if we could effect the outcome.

It might also be entertaining if we started another "poll war" with the freepers to see which of us can "win" American Idol.

Maybe the Freepers will get behind Scotty, the creepy "Swingblade" Sunday School Teacher.

Any thoughts?

3. I'm not sure you are right that Scott is the freeper favorite

He is from Cleveland which has really been promoting him as a favorite son--is featured on nightly local newscasts every night. Many identify him as "the ordinary guy". By the way, Cleveland is a big Democratic city which Kerry won overwhelmingly.

NOT that I want Savol to win, but just saying he isn't necessarily the freeper choice.

Now, Carrie might be. She is from Oklahoma and a country singer (of course that is very sterotypical too). However, I think she is also very good and should be in the top two with Bo Bice, who is from Alabama--another extreme RED state.
