My heart is breaking again.

One of my son's former baseball teammates (my son is 14) killed himself Thursday evening. This was a very bright, seemingly happy kid, who obviously was wrestling with some stuff inside, and not telling anyone.

RIP Mo, you will be missed.

This kid, though he had a really great sense of humor, seemed to carry a little more than his share of the world on his shoulders, but since I did not know the family well, I did not feel like it was my place to say anything.

12. This happened to two of my friends at a similar age.

I was mostly numb. I don't remember reacting with grief in an adult sense. I was just numb and attempting to comprehend this void in my life.
