'Shawshank' On Your Phone


The Shawshank Redemption has become the first full-length movie to be released for new mobile phones that can accept memory cards. The movie, priced at about $32 for the mobile-phone version, went on sale in the U.K. today (Monday).

Mind you, you can watch this movie on TNT at least once a week, but if for some reason $32 is just burning a hole in your pants well, now you can watch it on your cell phone

1. I think 2" screens are ideal for some movies.
The Passion of the Christ comes to mind. (Wouldn't pay $32 to see it, though.)

...when I can see it for free week in and week out on cable TV or buy the DVD for $7.99 at BEst Buy, why the hell would I pay $32 for it

I would never pay $32 to see it.

However, I do love technology and this could be interesting in the future.
