3. my apartment building is off white
My apartment was a nice green, with a gold kitchen before the fire I had last year. the fire restorators painted my apartment an "eggshell" off white. I had to do my bedroom up though, so I painted my bedroom "Chinese Red" in honor of my undying love for the great leader, Chairman Mao.

My room is actually similar in color to the sun behind the exalted leader of the masses.

It is really difficult to do green well -and yours is done very, very well. Great looking house! The front door reminds me of my new front door, except I have the typical craftsman shelf underneat the windows.

29. Sherwin Williams - they have (had?) palettes of historic period paints
so there was a Craftsman set, with a nicely limited palette.

After spending several hundred $ on sample paints and getting nowhere, the Sherwin Williams set was a godsend.

You can see some of it in a book called Bungalow Colors, and I've seen the palette on line before too.

Are you afraid to tell the rest of DU about your 'other life'?

But we just put a spiffy new old (1915) front door on it. Plus, we're redoing the kitchen (and we have a 8'x30' foot dumpster arriving in about an hour to clean 44 years of accumulated crap out of it before FUNDAY).

42. THANK YOU, mondo joe!
Your craftsman is also beautiful, btw, but I'm with you on this one: I love my home (designed by our architect and built by a wonderful local builder). This is a view of the back, needless to say. I don't have any digital pics of the front yet. The style is rather like Frank Lloyd Wright...prairie style, sort of...And the sun is wonderful, yes.

44. I only have a condo
but the front has a black door with light green shutters and beige colored brick front.

Inside, my living room is a very pale green with slightly darker wood work. My art work in the living room all have prominent black features and frames. The bedrooms are very pale silver colored paint the water color repropductions are done there in wood frames to match my early American furniture style, and the kitchen is a beige blah I need to get redone, as is the bathroom.
