Anybody else ever have this crazy dream?
That you're driving up a really narrow bridge that has no sides, and you're having a hard time keeping the car on the road, and the bridge keeps going higher and higher? I wonder what it means. :hi:

1. No. I honestly have really boring dreams.
I have dreams that I'm in a room, and there's a shelf. Or that I'm outside...and there's a house. Just a normal looking house.

No symbolism, nothing eventful, just boring stuff.

Honestly. My therapists have no idea what to make of this.

2. And you never walk out the back door of that normal house and off
a cliff, only to be saved from the flesh shredding rocks at the last minute, by a ledge...which wakes you up with a start? Never? ;)

15. "through each dream, how our love has grown
I see us with our children, and our happy home
little smiles, so warm and tender, that we both can share
blessed by love, a world we share
until I wake, I reach for you
and you're just not there!"

they are exchanging messages on the cell. He told her end of next month the migration within his company is over, he should have more time then. I wait and see  And she still freaks out if he doesn't answer her right away or not answering right .... :eyes:

3. I dream I'm driving up a hill that is so steep I flip over backwards
and go tumbling down. Seems similar.

Have no idea what yours means to you, but to me, my dream means things are completely out of control in my life.

4. I think this is what I am thinking of myself as well. MrG and I had
a bit of a scrap about his mom ( I know, off limits) last night...and this dream was the result I think.

6. Dreams about driving are about the direction of your life
Edited on Sat Apr-30-05 02:36 PM by nuxvomica
Cars represent where you're life is headed. I often dream about driving and once had a long, elaborate dream about driving in canals, trying to get my car back onto dry ground but failing until I let go of the steering wheel and jumped into the back seat. The car floated to safety and I took it to mean that I was trying too hard to control my life and needed to just sit back a little. I have no idea what yours means.

12. I've had a similar recurring dream.
I'm in a car and can't control it. If I'm driving, it's that my seat is too far back for me to reach the brake or the wheel won't respond. If I'm not driving, the person who is driving is having a heart attack or goofing off and not paying attention to the road.

I've come to recognize it as the dream I have during times of stress and uncertainty in my life. Perhaps you're under some stress or feeling out of control of your life?

You could also check out this online dream dictionary. It's as good as any dream interpretation book I've seen.

14. Good. A dream thread.
Does anyone know what it means when you have a recurring dream that you're trapped on super tall stilts?

I dream that I'm walking around on these stilts that are hundreds of feet tall and have no idea how to get off of them.

17. No, but I once dreamt there was a giant staircase in my attic
And I just kept climbing and climbing and climbing. And when I finally got to the top of the stairs, I was in Alaska.

(I lived in Brooklyn, New York and was about 13 at the time I had that dream- still trying to figure out what it meant)

Any Freudian analysts out there who want to take a stab at that one?
