1. I wouldn't read too much into it
You would probably be hard pressed to find anyone at the station that could find Saigon on the map let alone know when it fell.

5. Its scary isn't it! It isn't even just that I mean things we take for
granted such as pop culture references like music, movies, books when you mention to younger people they get a glazed look on their faces.
