Other than DU, how many posts have you ranked on other message boards?
For me, probably around 65, tho I'd hate to say, it was a conservative site I was trolling around on for a while.

Other than that, of all the sites I've registered at, I've barely made over 30 posts.

Here I have over 8000 and still going strong.

So what's your post count elsewhere?

1. At Gamefaqs, I had somewhere around 200 posts
I just lurk there now or search for help on a game. I rather discuss games here with the fine people of DU.

3. That's the way I've been feeling lately, DU has everything
why go elsewhere. I mean I still like to lurk around and surf the web, but most people know me here, why bother try to break into another site.

4. I post somewhat irregularly on a few other boards
On one I probably have a couple of hundred posts. Its forum tech is pretty primitive, they don't track number of posts, so I don't really know. On the other boards I post at it is well under a hundred.

I'm pretty faithful to DU. :P

23. I own a small forum
I've got about 377 posts on there. I don't post much cuz I'm the admin. Others do a fine job.

It's fairly small .

5. I have been on a Yahoo political board for years
It is where I generally discuss politics because it is unmoderated and debate can occur without fear of being "tombstoned."

You have to weed through 75% crap though.

6. Yeah I've lurked on some of those Yahoo boards...
Mostly just people hurling insults back and forth. I'd much rather hang out here with my democratic friends.

11. That's what I mean about the crap
The board I go to has about 15-20 who are regulars (a mix of conservative, moderate, and liberal) and it is worth having conversations with.

And I like to see the propaganda eater bucket brigades of both sides post the talking point du jour.

Maybe I'll do a search later on.

15. As in none at all?
I know, it can be difficult making that first post somewhere, where everyone else seems to know each other, and no one knows you.

At least you know you're welcome around here. :hi:

I like being here at DU. It's the winter months that keep me near the computer. Now I have friends here to chat with when I am home.

I spent all winter posting here on DU, and getting to know everyone. Tho I can see a time soon where I won't be around as much, tho I promise I'll continue to check in on you guys from time to time if that ever happens.

16. I like to lurk at Congres.Org.
There's a section called "Letters to Leaders", and when you search the board, you get the latest emails to monkey-boy! It's hysterical. It's funny mostly because the people who voted for him are WRITING to him and saying things like,"I know you're a good man at heart, and I know you'll read this. But I voted for you, and now you're messing with my Social Security..what gives? Please respond quickly."

Actually, now I'm thinking about it, it's more sad than funny.

17. Now that is funny,
I don't think a lot of people really knew what they were getting themselves into when they voted for monkey-boy. Now they're getting there just desserts.

(Unfortunately, so aren't the rest of us...)

24. Well said, I have over 100 posts in the Artists Group alone.
And that's one of the lower traffic groups I post in, plus you got news, GD, State Forums, non-political forums, activism forums, the Lounge for humor...I could go on and on...

25. never posted before DU
and have never posted anywhere else. My big 500 something posts at DU are my sum total. I just have a horrible taste for politics and this satisfies my addiction. My 3 boys are all computer wizards and I'm quite ignorant. I'm seriously thinking about taking a free class from the library to learn to cut and paste. Feels like I'm back in kindergarten. Oh, I can't 'color' either, so I can't participate in the coloring contests. booo hooo:nopity:
