Is Newsmax falling for a scam?

details a plan for a programming firm to buy a cruise ship and anchor it 3 miles offshore, and stock it with low-paid foreign computer programmers. As I read it, I was skeptical, and then I realized what kind of site I was on (look at the ads!). I had found the link on Fark.

I doubt that anyone would go through so much trouble to bring programmers so close to America, when they're doing just fine working in their home countries. It just didn't add up.

It brings to mind those hoaxters who have gotten phony stories into the evening news.

Has Newsmax been taken, or could this story be real?
