And I met some former River Rats through him.

21. Me too!
I was 21 months old when he returned. I was lucky not only that he came back, but that I lived free of worry. My older sister and especially mom, they had that burden.

22. Yeah. That's an awful thing. The closest I caem to it was my dad
getting sent to serve in Bahrain in '89, but there was no war and the risk of terrorism was lower then.
