Check in if you're a Happy Lil Fan of Bob Ross

Man, I miss those TV shows. I use to watch them every saturday morning when I was at college, right after PeeWee's Playhouse. Hopefully he's up in heaven on some Happy Little Cloud that he painted with Titanium White!

6. lol I like that analogy...
I tried to make a painting like his once, because he made it look too easy...well mine sucked and I got pissed and never tried again. Maybe the secret to his success was his calm demeanor, whenever he made a mistake he would just cover it with a happy little tree. Me, I throw stuff

2. I loved the way he made the trees.
Made it seem like I could do it.
Then I tried it. no, no, no.

9. "happy dots"
gotta admire the guy who made a lotta money from spreading happy dots
in the world. From what I can see he was more like a Meditation
Master--speaking to the devotees from high atop Titanium Mountain--rather than an art teacher.

12. Magic White!

14. I'd watch from time to time.
I always loved how the painting would develop. I wouldn't be too sure where he was going with something, then he'd throw a highlight here, a shadow there and BANG - it would just leap off the canvas, like when you get your eyes focused right on a stereogram. I'd always anticipate that moment, and when it came, it made me giddy.
