5. Hmm, I'm not a chef, but I have made lots of guacamole...
I add chopped tomatoes and finely diced onions. A garlic clove is good and a splash of lemon juice will keep the guac from turning dark. You can also leave one of the pits in the guac to keep it from discoloring. I sometimes sprinkle a garnish of chile powder on top of the bowl. I love guacamole!

7. cilantro is a must
I've heard you talk about making clams with jalapenos, all kinds of great stuff. You made me wish I was coming over for dinner. So I had you figured for a chef, but not necessarily professional.

8. I like the cilantro in it myself, but some don't. I usually have lots...
of Pico de gallo with cilantro in it handy when I make fajitas or other Mexican foods. I love that stuff, too.

6. Love that!
:silly:

In a scary sort of way, it reminds me of the very fundy "veggie tales"

10. I used to hate guacamole
even though I had never tried it because it looks gross. But then I actually tried it one day and I loved it!

11. Adding a little sour cream will also keep it fresher looking
but lemon or lime juice does the same thing and adds to the flavor too. I love guacamole. My local grocery store has hass avocados at two for a buck this week. I'm gonna stock up.

12. How about Okramole?
It's featured in an ad for Thelma's Diner: "Home of Possum Fajitas & Okramole." (Yum, yum!)

Of course, Thelma's may just be another fiction of Susan DuQuesnay Bankston, who writes as Juanita--owner of "The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc."

www.brazosriver.com/index.html

But her comments on her very own Congresscritter--Tom DeLay--are all true!
