What would you have as your final meal before execution?
Edited on Fri Apr-29-05 12:51 AM by jaredh
What would be your final meal if you were on death row?

I would have a medium-rare porterhouse steak with mashed potatoes, good corn on the cob,and a nice Greek salad. To finish it off I'd have a triple layer piece of chocolate cake and a six pack of Sam Adams.

How about you?

3. I've given this a lot of thought
I'd have a medium well steak with mashed potatoes, corn on the cob (similar tastes there!), thick, crusty bread, a spinach salad with cucumbers and carrots, all the Pepsi I could drink and lemon meringue pie for dessert.

15. I'm right there with you.
I love food but hate cooking. Anything that takes longer to prepare than to eat had better be worth it. I do cook Hamburger Helper. I especially like the cheddar cheese melt and the cheeseburger macaroni. I add 2 slices of regular sliced cheese right before I turn the heat off. Scrumptious.

13. IIt'll be a meal to remember
Appetizer: shrimp cocktail and egg rolls
Entree: Chinese-style orange chicken with bok choy and broccoli and brown rice.
Dessert: A big-@$$ bowl of stewed prunes.
And a big glass of milk (I am somewhat lactose intolerant).

They won't know what's more deadly...my corpse or whatever comes out of me...

14. How ironic you should ask,
Edited on Fri Apr-29-05 01:35 AM by Jamastiene
considering the Bush Nazis will probably eventually put us all in prison and/or on death row to shut us up before he is through with us.

I would have a rib eye cooked the weird way I like steak cooked, that is,
Sprinkle salt on both sides of the steak
Place steak in pan
Fill pan with water half way up the thickness of the steak
Cook on medium heat
Keep flipping steak when the top gets all bloody until the water starts to go away
Once the water starts to go away, grab the steak and rub it against the pan
Flip steak and repeat
Slap it on the plate.

Also, I would have potatoes cooked the way I like them, that is,
Sliced with
Diced onions and a garlic clove
Water and margarine in a pan

Also, I would have a little broccoli cooked well done with a little margarine on it, a can of Luck's Pinto Beans, and a 2 Liter Dr Pepper.

For dessert, I would have chocolate mousse.

I'd die happy and stoned. I don't know what it is about this meal that makes me feel high after I eat it, but I love the feeling when I eat it.

16. A Jamaican Jerk tofu sandwich from Hillside Quickies
...here in Seattle. Fresh from the grill, loaded with veggies, slaw, and their amazing potato salad-spread. With a side of spicy fries. If I could eat any more (which is unlikely,) just-picked (I mean, five minutes ago) corn on the cob.

*droooool*

Edited on Fri Apr-29-05 03:27 AM by SmileyBoy
With a big side of Fettucine Alfredo in a nice garlic sauce, a big side of mashed potatoes with turkey gravy, buttered garlic bread, a 40oz bottle of Pellegrino, and a nice strawberry shortcake for dessert. And I'd finish it off with a nice fat spliff of high-quality Afghani Chronic.

Oh god, now I'm hungry as hell...:(

32. I think I'd have:

appetizer: sushi-california rolls and
Thai fried tofu
followed by
Hot steamed king crab legs with plenty of butter
Ceaser salad (with extra croutons)
a bottle of Oktoberfest wine (from the Amana colonies here in Iowa)
I'd have to have SOMETHING with hollandaise sauce so maybe some fresh asparagus spears. And for dessert-key lime pie.

33. Here's mine:
Soup: Vichyssoise.

Salad: Slices of Belgian endive on a bed of mixed salad greens with a small roundel of Danish bleu cheese in the center.

Fish: Lightly filleted Atlantic cod with a lemon, lime and herb sauce.

Main course: Roasted lamb sirloin rubbed with pepper and spices, accompanied by a savory mint sauce, garlic mashed red potatoes, crisp asparagus, and garnished with julienne carrots.

Dessert: A fine warm creme brulete with a crisp crust and a small side of raspberry gelato.

Wines: a fine assortment of French, Napa, Chilean and Australian wines served properly chilled or room temperature with the appropriate course.

After: Port and Sherry with Cuban cigars for all my table mates.

Eat hearty! :9
