If you had a question about the site you could post in ATA to get it answered. But people started using it to air grievances and things got out of hand.

People would ask things like how to start a thread, what an acronym meant, praise the mods, ask why a thread was locked, but mostly it was just bitching.

ATA = Ask the Administrators. It became a source of great hilarity as tons of people posted there complaining about others. Well, when it really got funny was when Skinner was MIA starting last Thursday and everyone was speculating what happened to him. Bunny posted a thread after serving her child alpha bits. The cereal spelled out a call for help from Skinner, who was trapped in a well. She was waiting for the next day's breakfast to receive further information about his whereabouts. Then various people tried to assert their dominion there, like myself. I got myself named commandant of the ATA gulag by Zuni, who declared himself dictator of all DU.



When el fuego challenged my authority by claiming she had seized Skinner's chihuahua avatar, I summoned reinforcements.



There were lots of funny posts in their during the last week. But alas it's been taken from us.
