unintentionally hilarious books...post them here...
I just finished reading "Defiant Patriot: The life and exploits of Lt.Colnel Oliver L. North".

Someone left it out for free in the courtyard of my little block of flats. It's classically funny. Perfect for freepers. Large font size for E-Z viewing, no real reporting done and lots of spin.

So how about books you've read that have been unintentionally funny?

My dad sat through a conference in which he was the guest speaker and brought back a signed copy for me as a joke. I read the damn thing, too. The best work of fiction I read last year.

8. "A Matter of Character"

"You libs don't understand. It's a matter of CHARACTER." "He's got good CHARACTER." "It's all about President Bewsh's CHARACTER." Everybody says that and I'm so fucking SICK of hearing it. A guy who, at best, LIHOP the worst terrorist attack on American soil, lies to America and sends innocent men and women off to die for it, can't be pinpointed on any specific issue, speechifies to hand-picked audiences, is a willing sock-puppet to a gaggle of human Satans, thinks offshoring American jobs is a good idea, turns nations into failed and uranium-cacked bloodbaths and apologizes not ONE iota has no goddamned CHARACTER, you fucking morans.

That and any Andrew Coulter book. That guy . . . whudda nutbag.

10. Kill It and Grill It by Ted Nugent
As I've relayed before, I actually bought and had him autograph the book as a present for my brother-in-law, who is pretty conservative and hunts with guns and crossbows. When he handed it to me (right after my girlfriend took my picture with him - I stuck out my tongue), he said, "Enjoy that book - there's a lot of wisdom in there." I actually hurt myself by holding in laughter until we were able to leave the Borders he was at. We went to a restaurant, and we read a few choice passages along the lines of, "THe purpose of life is to live because if you're not living then there's no life to live!" (Seriously something very close to that)

I gave the book to my bro-in-law, who didn't really know much about Nugent as he's a country music fan. A month later, I saw him again, and I asked if he liked the book, and he said, "TlalocW, when I first read it, I thought it was some sort of humor that I wasn't getting until I saw him on a hunting show on ESPN, and he really is that stupid. The recipes look good though." My equally conservative sister chimed in with, "He's all talk and no walk. He prefers to drive around in the wilderness in that stupid looking SUV of his."
