One thing I like about Virginia
Nobody cares if you're originally from out of the state.

A lot of people are here from someplace else... And so far, that's all cool.

2. It's also very, very beautiful.
I'd recommend taking a trip to the Shenandoah National Park whenever you have some free time. It's gorgeous, and most people who visit there are progressive nature lovers.

8. Newport News must have changed drastically over the years.
I was there in '71, when the USS Enterprise was in drydock there. And again as a civilian for a couple of weeks in '73 or 74. Didn't seem like a place I wanted to go back to.

indoctinating Chesapeake's youth. I'll be teaching AP Euro and probably a section of Government in the fall.
