3. Pretty much, people were what I expected

Big McLargeHuge was littler than I imagined, and Matcom was taller. Yvr girl was quiter in person that I thought she'd be, same with Rev. But then, I missed the craziness that was Friday night :)

Some people I didn't have any expectations for at all, and overall, I was just really glad to get to meet so many great people and hang out with so many cool people! :bounce:

running away from such a pack o' fine-looking women, back to his mama's basement, no, I'm talking about the other one, although performance anxiety may have been a factor in the Freeper's rapid retreat, and the music being so loud in there covering up his chuckles and smirks, because he was so proud, I meand the freeper, but the one I described with all the punctuation marks was the really irritating one. People are talking about him somewhere, and the only thing that I can reassure you of is that he's NOT me, or even a relative closer than, say, third cousin, at least not the one I am describing, because I wouldn't call myself those things, though others might, not that I'd necessarily blame them if they did, honesty being the best policy as it is, not that I can blame the freeper for breaking into a panicked sweat when confronted with the reality of that room, not that I want to talk about him anymore or give him any more credit than what's due, because it was that other one who I really think isn't me, or even close to as tall if you squint a little bit in low light, who provided most of the laughs, not even realizing they were the snide, almost accommodating laughs of pity mixed with a sort of loathing admiration.

unless you count not being able to stay in a chair because you're laughing so hard...my cheekbones still hurt, days later.

Everything was a blast, and I did get two and a half hours of sleep before driving home, which is you pro-rate it against the per-day charge, adds up to an insane hourly cost for a hotel room, even by Boston standards.

One of the best days / nights I've had on a long, long time.

We all owe you and Pitt a big debt, you for pre-event organizing, and him for what followed the "official" shindig.

I'll express my appreciation with a little something for you next time, but you have to promise to not be shy and remind me of it before I come up there, because I forget things.

On a side note, I'm scrubbing my apartment and recovering from a really weird weekend that included a live Roller Derby match, trip to a drag show, and a couple of random, favorite dive bars that I hadn't been to in ages.

Even with all of that excitement, I still couldn't escape the thought in the back of my mind "man, I wish I was in freakin' Boston this weekend."
