LA DUERS: Any good Jit Kun Do or Japanese Kenpo Dojo's in the LA area?
Preferrably in between Los Feliz and West LA. I've had this bug up my ass to take up a martial art, so these are the two I would most want to study.

2. There is a good Tai kwan do place off of Crescent Heights and Wilshire
But I cant remember the name of it. If I find out, I'll let you know.

4. Japanese Karate
Japan Karate Association in Santa Monica comes highly recommended.

There is another Karate dojo on Olympic near Union. might be worth checking into.

5. Mixed Martial Arts
donotpassgo, do you want to train for fitness? Fun? Self defense? Competition?

I ask because I'm a huge fan of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), better known in the US as "Ultimate Fighting". While the styles you listed are good choices, for self defense and competition you might want to study something like Muay Thai, Boxing, Judo or Jiu-Jitsu. In no-holds-barred fights, Muay Thai/Boxing has proven most effective for striking, while Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo are essential for fighting on the ground (where 90% of all fights end up). Judo and Jiu Jitsu currently dominate MMA, and are less stressful on your body than striking oriented martial arts.
