American Idol fans: What did you think?
of Anwar getting the ax last night? Scott still survives. I think that Simon was correct when he said that he thinks Scott is still around because he represents the underdog.

Oh well, I'm glad Bo Bice is back.

2. I agree. Simon must be right.
He sure isn't there for his singing skill or talent.

I'm glad to see Bo back in the groove as well. I was wondering what song he'd pick... thought it'd be a third week of yuck for him. He picked the perfect song.

3. Scott has been sucking hard the last few weeks
he's gotta go soon. I think the final three will be Bo, Constantine, and Carrie. Anthony isn't very good but gets the Clay Aiken fan, Vonzelle is okay but doesn't have the talent to win.

5. I wish Scott would have gone, but I wasn't a huge Anwar fan
He always sounded the same to me, no matter what he was singing. I thought he was boring. Sorry Anwar fans.

I'm glad Bo is back too, he was great. I wish it would be a rocker showdown Bo Vs. Constantine. That would be cool.

6. My wife watches it-so I will offer my observations
First Seacrest is hilariously bad at MCing. I thought he was going to lose it there for a second last night "..oh yeah this is live TV...okay lets do this..."

With Anwar and Nadia who, incredibly, got booted last week everything is in place for Carrie (the white country singing girl) to win. Just as planned.

Scott is smart. He sings songs about making it over odds and surviving-he also very slyly mentioned that it was his mother's birthday last night.

The blonde kid, Anthony, who had the traceautomy is totally flying under the radar.

Vonzell absolutely lights up the room

Bo and Constantine have been able to avoid stealing each other's wind so far. Constantine has done really really well.

I think Anwar got voted out because everyone assumed others would vote for him. Anwar, Nadia, and Carrie are clearly the class of the field.

7. Anwar was my favorite
Edited on Thu Apr-21-05 03:01 PM by The empressof all
I was soooo sad to see him go. I have to admit he doesn't exude a great deal of charisma on stage but what a voice! Now I want to see the blond kid and Scott go next. Then I don't care which of the remainders win, although Constantine is starting to grate on me big time.

I do think though that they are setting up a Carrie win because she is the most marketable of the bunch and can sell in both Pop and Country. She's starting to look and sound an awful lot like Kelly Clarkson to me.

10. Her Scot and Bo were the bottom three
I couldn't believe she got voted out. Clearly amongst the top three in the whole competition.

14. She was booted off last week.
The theme was songs from the year you were born. I don't remember what year Nadia was born but she picked a nothing song from that year. It did not show off her talent. The judges criticized her for her choice of song.
She has great vocal talent and presence. Unfortunately her talent in picking songs that would appeal to voters was lacking.

17. I'm not sure she has "great" vocal talent
she was okay, but her style and look got her as far as she did. Her problem was her song choices. She said when they did billboard number ones that she liked "artsy fartsy" songs. I think that she tried to help us experience one of her songs and it killed her chances. I thought Anwar was good but wasn't good enough to win.

Anwar used to be one of my favorites
but after a while, I saw him as bland. Not sure why. Someone else here said all of his songs sounded alike. Maybe that's it.
After last week and this week, I've come to warm up to Vonzelle. She's more talented than I originally thought.
I still like Nadia -- too bad she's gone.

9. I love American Idol
and have watched since the beginning. Anwar really got on my nerves, can't explain it, he just did. I like Bo and Constantine because they are rockers and that appeals to me, and I do think Carrie has a beautiful voice. I liked Nadia because she was different and spunky and Vonzell is really getting better week by week, she has grown more then any other contestant. Scott needs to go away! Anthony, you gotta have a little love for because that boy was never even supposed to talk again, but he is out of his league on this show. Just giving my opinion.

13. We missed Nikko getting voted off-he made a BIG mistake
I thought he looked kinda familiar- a couple of weeks ago he told a story about his father retiring......his father is Ozzie Smith a GREAT shortstop for the St.Louis Cardinals. Nikko was GONE the next week. This is supposed to be a 'rags to riches' competition when he let everyone know that he was already rich (his dad anyway) BOOM! he was gone.

11. I liked Anwar's voice,
very natural, like Stevie Wonder. But he had terrible taste in music.

I think Constantine will win.

12. Anwar was the best
I can't believe he is gone. He needed to sing more Bob Marley or perhaps Sting's "Message in a Bottle" to show off his control of his beautiful pipes. I would buy his music anytime.

15. yeah good suggestion
I think Anwar should have a singing future. He seemed like the really talented guy who needs to stretch a little further. But he could go far.
