4. Ugh. DUers keep introducing me to really hateful websites :(
But it's edifying. Sample:

'The move toward the global church is called the "ecumenical movement." Spearheaded by the Roman Catholic Church, it is designed to bring all churches under the influence of the pope. Since the idea of love and unity is very appealing, many Christians have welcomed the idea, without thinking it through. How can an evangelical Christian, saved by faith alone, be in unity with a Roman Catholic who believes in salvation by good works?'

I ain't religious, but there it is in a nutshell, I see: evangelicals, conveniently, don't have to do anything about their faith, such as live it. Good works? Why lift a finger when you can just SAY you believe in things? What a crappy waste of human effort religion is, and this kind of thinking in particular.

5. Part of me wants to take the tract apart piece by piece
But most of me just wants to laugh heartily at the sheer nonsense, but then I'm also profoundly upset that people genuinely believe this rubbish.

7. Conservative Liturgicals Quick To Spot Liberal Bashers, BUT...
Conservative liturgical Christians are quick to spot and denounce those progressives who bash their religious beliefs, but give their so-called "allies" like Jack Chick and other Evangelicals free rides and every benefit of the doubt and beyond when those Evangelicals say as bad or worse things about Catholicism, the Anglican Communion, or the various Lutheran and Orthodox denominations.

I'll admit that I've changed denominations since my Episcopal upbringing, but I retain my skepticism about the professed good intentions those self-styled "born-agains" have towards liturgicals. To me, the liturgicals are fools for treating Evangelical anti-Liturgical propaganda so supinely.
