Do you keep a journal or diary?
I do...but I haven't updated it for a while.

I think it helps to sometimes put your thoughts, ideas, etc on paper. It helped me when I was in counselling.

2. hell no
that shit comes back to bite you in the ass someday. a calendar with loose notes jotted in there is enough.

Anything more detailed becomes a liability.

6. In a way.
I'm erratic about keeping a journal daily, but I make an effort. When I don't write in my journal, my experiences and observations almost always end up in my paintings.

Fo example:

7. I have here and there
Haven't in a while. It really was more like a thought book. It always helps to put things down on paper. I always tell people who are having problems to try to write their thoughts down as much as they can. It is a easy way to release some of that shit.
My songs also are part of that whole therapy.

9. The only problem with journals is that they don't die when you do.
Somebody is going to have to clean your place out. Most bitching and moaning about someone is gotten over and forgotten but if that person reads it later on it can be very hurtful. I cleaned out my mother's house and she put intimate thoughts in her. Blecchh!
