Alright--pronounce "bong"

I was watching some strange piece yesterday on Comedy channel, and in the presentation, some smart-assed Gen Xer pronounced it "bonj" instead of "bong" as in wrong! Cripes, I knew we were the generation of hippies and peaceniks, but at the very least, we knew how to pronounce the word!!!!

jigawatt is a correct pronunciation :) (either jig or gig is acceptable). I didn't know that either until someone showed me in a dictionary: http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=gigawatt

It surprised me when I first found out that jigawatt was acceptable . . . I never would have believed it if the guy who told me hadn't shown me in the dictionary :).
