2. I've got the old fan down and the new fan is in the bracket.

3. Take both beer and drugs, then connect

the black (or red) wire from the fan to the black wire in the junction box, and the white wire to the white, and the green or bare wire to ground (either a bare wire in the junction box or to the box istelf, and don't skip this step).

And tape your wire nuts! Seriously.

Unless your fan also has a light, in which case all the beer and Xanax in the world won't help.
