The good news, there's a new pope. The bad news, the apocalypse is coming

<snip>

In the year 2009 -- The Jewish people will decide to build the Third Temple of Jerusalem. Also in 2009, Pope Benedict XVI suggests building three places of worship in Jerusalem, a Temple, a Church, and a Mosque -- so that these three religions can all worship in peace in the city of peace. He does not understand. This will not happen in the short term; instead there will be war.

In 2009 -- War among Arab nations will unite these nations under the leadership of Iraq and Iran. Iraq will invade and occupy Syria and other Arab nations.

In 2009 or 2010 -- Pope Benedict XVI dies and is replaced by the pope that St. Malachy calls "Peter the Roman."

2009/2010 -- The events described in the book of Revelation begin. These events are often called "The Apocalypse" -- however, this is not the end of the world. These events take many, many years to unfold.

2010/2011 -- A long and bloody war begins. After the War among Arab nations, the Arab nations will join forces. They will threaten and attack the United States. At some point in time, early in the war (probably 2010), they will strike New York City with a nuclear weapon. Next they will threaten and attack Europe. They will attack France and Italy and other countries. The Arab nations will be unstoppable. They will eventually conquer most or all of Europe and the northern part of Africa. This will be a war against nations and also a war against the Christian faith. They will burn churches and prohibit public Christian worship in the occupied countries. This war will last for many years.

About 2012 -- After the Arabs attack Rome, the Pope will be forced to flee Vatican City. He will be captured by the Arab soldiers and taken to Syria. He will be put on trial and an unjust sentence will be handed against him. He will be blinded and taken to Iraq to be emprisoned there. This Pope will die a martyr, in a prison in Iraq. This Pope will be the second pope after John Paul II. The one St. Malachi calls "Peter the Roman."

4. I love how these types of predictions are constantly updated
Back in the 70's the bad guys were middle easterners funded by the godless soviets.

Now we have the handy dandy villains of Iraq and Iran. Hmm, saying those together reminds me of a gradeschool joke.

Just think, another thirty years or so and maybe it will be the US's turn to be the villain of ever-changing-prophecy.

7. Here's from elsewhere on that site:
Should Women Be Soldiers
God intends men and women to have different roles in the Church, the family, and society. Men are meant to have roles of teaching, leadership, and authority over other men and over groups that include men, women, and children. Women may have authority over other women and over children. Men are intended by God, when necessary due to the sinfulness and violence in this world, to be soldiers who defend their nation and who defend what is good against what is evil. In a society that is well-ordered according to God's will, there would be no women soldiers.

As another example. In general, God does not want a woman to be president. Men and women are intended by God to have different roles in society, the family, and the Church. Men are intended to be leaders over groups of men, women, and children. But God sometimes makes an exception, as the All Knowing and All Mighty may do, because allowing one imperfect situation may have greater advantages than disadvantages. Hillary Clinton will be elected U.S. President, under God's Providence, but for the sake of the unborn, not because God wants women to lead men. She will be elected President in 2008, and in 2009 she will change her mind about abortion and become pro-life. Her election as president is part of God's plan to lead those who most strongly support abortion to conversion. She can speak to them more effectively than an older male conservative could.

8. It is against Qur'an
to deny Christians and Jews the right to worship, as they are considered "People of the Book". Realize this is a "liberal" Muslim speaking-can't say what the Wahhbists would say (other than they consider my kind heretics).

9. "they will strike New York City with a nuclear weapon. Next..."
There is no next. After nuking NYC they will all be dead. All these fundie fantasists should spend some time reading Tom Clancy. In one of his books a terrorist group sets off a bomb in Seattle (a really bad movie was made of this). Clancy's hero manages to stop the President from doing what anyone would expect; raining H-bombs down on the people he THOUGHT were responsible. If we KNEW who was responsible there wouldn't be anything growing there for about the half-life of lead.

What planet does these guys live on, anyway?

Wanna name the largest nuclear power in the world?

10. I predict!!! The Mighty Criswell Will Speak!!!

I predict! That the Pope will enter the Vatican and much spaghetti will be served. To honor his German heritage, instead it will be spaetzle.

I predict! In the year 2016, a George W. Bush clone will attempt to run for office.
