I have a question about this new pope
Here in the U.S. we have had much scandal with the Catholic church. Many Catholic people have said they have lost their faith. So is it smart, with the U.S history with the name Benedict, to pick that name?

American Catholics make up about 6% of all Catholics. So I don't think that name was a concern. :hi:

The US cardinals were trying to form a bloc to block him, if I'm not mistaken.

Gawd, I wish they coulda done it.
