Nor do I know why my cat insists on turning it on the Bose radio. He walks across the top until he selects his favorite Christian rock station at 2:30 AM in the morning.

7. Yes. For the same reason "Creation Science" is...
"Creation Scientists" get into science with the aim of proving/promoting creationism, when real scientists do it the other way around: start with Science (observation/hypothesis/etc) and go from there.

"Christian Rockers" get into rock with the aim of promoting Christianity, when real rockers do it the other way around: start with Rock (guitar/bass/drums/etc.) and go from there.
