Paul Harvey says the 7% increase in cost of living needs some perspective

-I heard this whilst running some lunch time errands-

See the 7% increase in the cost of living is a bit misleading (no mention of drug costs) ...IF you take out the price increases in gas and food the COL only went up about 1/10th of a percent.

From this I inferred the following-As long as I don't buy any gasoline or food I while be just fine.

the increased price of oil will increase the prices of everything else. I feel bad for folks who have to drive and do not make enough to balance out the increased price of gas.
