5. A word about Fox

Earlier I was channel surfing, during the moments of silence for the victims of the OKC bombings and the asshole from Fox felt a need to speak. I thought it was very disrespectful. I ain't sure what he said because I quickly surfed away from fox, but it was just disrespectful and irritating as hell. The moments of silence are somber and should be treated as such. Shut up fox guy!

Haven't for a number of years. That said, I was over at a friend's house the other day, seeing his new HDTV/Dual-Dish Satellite rig.

While there, I came to a conclusion:

If I had TV, I would probably weld the remote to "The Paint-Drying and Grass-Growing Channel".

Frankly, that shit is nuts. Scary nuts. No wonder we have the issues we do, as a country.

6. I hate to admit it among friends but I like Blitzer. Lou Dobbs too.

You don't have to agree with them even much of the time to appreciate their work. Blitzer never loses his temper, never rants, and never encourages his guests to either. Discussions are fairly civilized and you can actually hear who is saying what.

Dobbs speaks truth to power fairly frequently and doesn't seem to mind who's ox is gored. He leads the punditocracy by a mile in criticizing "free trade" and off-shoring.
