An Interesting Thing Heard On SPORTS RADIO

Yep, on sports radio. On Friday morning i was driving to a very early meeting, so this had to be around 4:30am. I was listening to ESPN radio and the two guys were talking about Li'l Georgie throwing out the first pitch.

While they "praised" him for keeping his elbow up and getting the ball all the way to the catcher, the really good stuff then started.

I'm paraphrasing here, but i going to do my best to give you the flavor.

First Guy: "Yeah, it's nice that D.C. has a team now, and that the president threw out the first ball, but you'd think the president might have something else to do, like i dunno, GOVERN!"

Second Guy: "Well, the president is a hard worker. He's 24/7 George! 24 Hours a week, 7 months a year!"

Followed by loud, derisive laughter from both guys!

Yeah, i heard that on a national radio feed for sports talk!

George W. Bush - the vacation president. Setting records for vacation time while in office. (show world events that happened while he was on vacation...)

Would have done more to show him as out of touch than 90% of the ads we had on our side.

I don't remember the vacation president thing, but our attack ads were all over the board, while the RW ones were focused like a laser beam.

Thing is, i'm sure this isn't the first time they've taken shots. That's too strong a statement for it to be the first time they've delved into political opinion. So, i think they might already be known as Bush critics. They probably know where the lines are drawn.
