Bush is down to 44% Congress 35%
Best news I've had this morning.

We had an article in our paper that Bush's failures in Iraq and the Prescription drug card have really hurt his credibility.

I think he has really lost power - seems that way to me. It's almost like he just stands there and no one pays attention to him anymore.

And I also think that backing DeLay (the crook) will really hurt him here in the Midwest. These people really don't like crooked politicians. The trick is for them to figure out who is the crook - that can take a while.

15. I did my survey by looking in the mirror this morning
There was a unanimous result that king george is a clueless fool.

Now I'm just wonderring whether this is more or less reliable than Rush?

2. Those numbers are gold.
The sentiment is turning to "throw the bums out."

We win that fight.

24. "tired of fighting"?
That's the RW code for "stop resisting so I can screw you"

More likely that America is tired of the corruption and treason of BushCo, Delay and his cronies. America is tired of handing our sovereignty over to corporations. America is tired of destroying it's credibility. America is tired of going ever deeper into debt to the nations for which the Bush administration shows open disdain. America is tired of loosing it's fathers, mothers, husbands, wives, sons, and daughters to a war that yields little more than big payoffs for top execs of multinational corporations.

America is tired of getting beat up by elitist NeoCon thugs.

Any questions?

8. Looks good
but it won't mean a damn thing unless the Democrats take advantage of these numbers. The Democrats need their own "contract with America" that emphasizes progressive goals so we can have another 1994 (with the opposite results, of course).

12. you're correct
we need something like that as well, emphasizing: integrity, fiscal responsibility, transparency, good jobs for the working & middle class, education and health care.

14. Yep, and a herd of fresh-faces to run for every open office across the
land. We need an army of "outsiders" to advance this agenda. With a bunch of new people and a newly articulated platform that attacks the people's real concerns, I really don't see how we could lose.

18. I agree
And I am one of those fresh faces running for the House against Paul Ryan in Wisconsin.

I couldn't agree more with the honest politician comment also. People in the Midwest hate dishonesty, but, we need to prove that we are honest. If we cannot do that, it will not matter what we say.

21. Yes we do
But, we cannot just focus on those here. We must be bringing in new members. We must offer the people a real choice. The single most important thing we as Democrats can do in the next 10 years is to retake at least one House of Congress and maintain control.

22. Change House Ethics Committee rules, not adjust Federal MPG
ratings for auto manufacturers, sign some muddled thing about protecting lives of those unable to respond (Schiavo), cut Nasa's budget, killed off the Hubble, signed Patriot Act II

In other words, a bunch of unproductive BS
