Hooray! My little friend 'BANDITTE' made her first appearance of the year tonight!

She's abit skinny, what with the hibernating and all, but otherwise looking healthy,
and hungry for her favorite: Cat Chow!

Her SECOND fave is pizza crust; she likes to run 7 feet up our tree and then take the crusts from my hand.

She looks kinda FIERCE here, but she was actually YAWNING at me while I snapped my fingers to make her look up for the camera!

I've never actually "checked" her gender;
...but, with the way she gives me THAT look that says:
"Idiot, PLEASE!"...
she's definitely female.

I've gotten that look from so many women, I am qualified to recognize it on the face of ANY mammal!

2. Awwwww
That's great that you give her something to eat. How often does she come around?

4. It has varied.
Summer of 2003, she was just a 4 pound little thing; I saw her EVERY night all summer, and she really got to know me...
if I opened the door holding a plastic cup, she ran to the bowel for CatChow.
If I came out with a pizza-box, she ran up to the crotch of the tree and waited for her favorite CRUSTS!
She was a regular; one hour after every sundown she was there.

Last year, I only saw her maybe 2-3 times a week, and she was often with a HUGE male who never came in very close.

Tonight is her first visit this year; I knew it was her before I looked...
Cats and Possums and Raccoons sound VERY different eating CatChow on a quiet night!
(Leopard Slugs make no sounds at all!)

6. I feed the leopard slugs
that show up outside our kitchen window. Lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers, all summer long.

8. I was surprised when the leopards started on the CatChow. Carnivores!
They are very interesting to watch.

I have some photos of one that was a good 7 inches long, and I thought it was HUGE....
...Until I crawled under our house and saw the REALLY big ones! The ones on our porch were just the babies!

I'm not going back under there unless I have to!

10. I like the leopard slugs . . .
but the ones I've seen here are about 5 inches long. If there are some bigger ones hiding somewhere, I don't want to know and I couldn't afford to feed them anyway. (Eeeeee!)

3. Had one at my cat food around 2 am this morning.
He/she was pretty big, pretty hungry, and pretty upsetting to one of my dogs that kept barking at him/her.

7. As sure as I can be....
She's been coming around for 3 years now, and acts the same as any other animal who knows me.
(I also have a few Opossums who drop by regularly)

BTW, I love your name also. ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD!

That sound-effect that Futurama used for the Htoad was the best ever!

She's definitely "your pet". No way you could get picture otherwise.

On edit:

I just gave you that disapproving look you love so well because of your post title.

12.  If Cat Chow were manufactured in Wisconsin, it would probably
contain at least 20% REAL cat!!
