CSI:Miami, toothing, and jumping the shark.
It officially ended for me with csi:miami tonite- i gotta admit- it's the longest i've been able to stomach anythithing with david caruso.

tonite's episode was more soap opera than crime drama, and one of the cops was involved in looking for his badge that was taken while he was "toothing"..never heard of it? me neither. Google to the rescue:
Toothing

also- are there actually 'bed bars' in south beach?

1. But people keep watching it, so CBS will re-up it.
Meanwhile, we have to fight to keep enlightened TV programming on the air.

2. yes, there are
I only know about the bed bars because of CNN's serious, in-depth reporting though, not because I live an interesting life.

3. I almost taped it...
(but forgot to turn the VCR off after I programmed it) only because I heard Natashia Williams had a guest spot on it.

Sorry, but she's hot and I can be a sucker for some proper T&A.

Anyway, yeah, Caruso brings the whole thing down, and it's the worst written of all of them. Maybe they figgers it's not worth wasting writing talent on since no one involved actually wants to work.

Whatsername, the blonde, did a great stint on West Wing a while back, so I know she can act, and some of the others look like they have some talent if they let them loose. But, Caruso just puts a pall over the whole thing, and it's like no one cares with him around. Just another paycheck until some real work shows up.

4. David Caruso was the worst choice for that role
He is as atypical of a Miami cop as you can get. They should have gotten a Latin actor with a bit of passion, a benjamin bratt type.

5. Yes, there is at least one bed bar on south beach
At least there used to be, it got to be pretty trendy a few years back.
