I was on Oprah too. Not in the audience, but on the stage.

of course it was back in 1986, when oprah was more sally jesse-ish, and the topic of the show was "men who date married women"...it's a long story that ends with my mother doing a coffee spit-take on her cats, because she was watching in bed(oprah aired live at the time in chicago, at 9am) and i hadn't told her that i was going to be on.

one thing that irritated me- when they came back from a commercial, Opie says: "we're talking today with men who cheat with cheating wives..."
and since i was single, i took issue with that- i wasn't "cheating" on anybody.

It was 'Women who marry gay men'. Her family was shocked, to say the least
