I saw a Thylacine
Well on TV and in a pic on the web.
I wish these beautiful creatures were still around. There have been reports of sightings but none were offical sightings.

Why do creatures die out?

I want the Thylacine to live dammit!:hi:

1. Don't do that again. Or may have to swat you
I thought I had a first hand thylacine report to read. Well were to blame for the thylacine because the Aussies thought he was a threat to their flocks. Check this cool site out for my info and pics.

4. I think they're still out there!
What are your thoughts about them cloning the animal? They do have an embryo that it's possible to clone it from.

5. They'll have to use a Tazzy devil for implantation. That's the
thylacine's closest living relative. I know they've worked on extracting DNA, but I don't know how far along they are. Since marsupials are born teensy, using a Tasmanian devil might actually work.

6. I tend to think they still are around
I have read some compelling reports over the years from both Tasmania and even the mainland from people who pretty much could tell the difference between a dingo and a thylacine. I think it would be cool if they could but I am not sure how they would get over the problem of inbreeding. I mean they probably have only one or two specimens that they could get the DNA from. SO that would mean all the thylacines that were cloned would technically have the same parent. So you wouldn't want them breeding with each other ,so you would have to clone them perpetually to keep them going. At least I think that would be the case. I have liberal arts degrees not science. ;-)
