Brain goes SPROING. Actually, I am kidding. One of my best friends is a former trucker and he's to the left of ME.

I know a lot of former FReepers and some of them are really decent people. They're sort of like that guy in the college dorm in the 70s who played a lot of chess, smoked a lot of pot, but for some reason would argue that the Vietnam war was a just war. Not stupid, not vicious, just wrong.

If you want to see some reformed (sorta) freepers, check out www.freedom4um.com. There's an awful lot of back story there that will not make sense, but they hate Bush, DeLay, Wolfie and the rest just as much as we do. After that, YMMV, but I can get back to arguing tax cuts and shit once the nazis are gone. I even agree with conservatives on some things, and if the nutbars were banished, we could have a meaningful discussion about things like abortion and how to make it ever more rare. Same thing with guns. I have nothing against them per se; I am anti gun show, or rather gun show exemption. If you have ever been to a big one, which is likely if you're a southerner, most of the people there are just family types, but there is that element that is using them to cover for selling a truckload to gangs and shit. It doesn't take long to spot them if you are looking.

26. I feel for you. Not so much for the reactionary comments, which are

to be expected, but for having to deal with their layout. I've been visiting web sites for many, many years now, using text based browsers, browsers on PDAs, even browsers on computers no one ever thinks about (Atari STs, for example) --- Even with all that experience, Free Republic still gives me a headache with its horrible layout.
