I'm really ok but the hernia surgery does really hurt my abdomen right now. Nice thoughts and typing would be very sweet to read. Thanks a bunch in advance for any well wishes ! :-) And, I return the sweetness a million times over to each of you.

4. It gets better. I had it too, and it was my first surgery.
Started as a laparoscopy, but they had to do full (6-inch) incisions on both sides (cut a blood vessel).

The pain kind of blew me away. But it gets better relatively quickly (within a few days).

You still need to take it easy for weeks. The hardset thing for me was not being able to pick up my son. But I'm 4 months down the line and I put in a few hours of reasonably heavy yard work yesterday. Of course, that's what gave me the hernia in the first place! (but moving heavy trees after a hurricane is a bit different from weeding)

6. Now that's the truth! Nothing like real pain to make you appreciate

the wonders of narcotics. ;-)
