3. I completely agree!

I saw it for the first time about a week ago. Bawled my eyes out! I just love the chemistry between Depp and Kate. :D

(and Peter was absolutely WONDERFUL! He's actually going to be in the upcoming Charlie And the Chocolate Factory).

4. It's a weeper???
Shit - I just purchased it! What else has it got going for it? I got enough grief in my real life at the moment....

9. Yeah, it's a weeper, but a "good" weeper.
It's sad, but very cathartic. Not the depressing kind of movie where you want to go out and slit your wrists at the end. It's very uplifting, and leaves you feeling a lot of hope that the people in the movie will come through the sadness and be just fine.

I strongly recommend it, especially for anyone who wants to get (or is already) in touch with their inner child, and for anyone who is involved in any kind of creative endeavor, be it writing, theater, visual arts, music, etc.

Absolutely one of the best films I've ever seen.

5. It was my latest Netflix pick....
Not really a children's story, although there's nothing "unsuitable" for children.

And Johnny Depp gets better & better. Yes, he can play colorful, flamboyant characters. But he can also offer a subtle performance as a gentle, somewhat represssed writer.

6. I loved it as well,
and shed more than a few tears at the end. Johnny Depp was fantastic in that role.

7. Is it worth buying?
I love Depp. I haven't seen this one yet. Should I buy it or just rent it?

Thanks.
Debbi

P.S. I cannot wait for Willy Wonka. The previews look awesome!

I want it on DVD now. The extras are great, too. Very well-done film.
