LAWRENCE, Kan. -- This isn't your typical Christian retail store.

Extreme Christian Clothing stores in Topeka and Lawrence, Kan., sell T-shirts with messages like "Satan Sucks," "My God can kick your god's butt," and "To Hell with the Devil."

Store owner Lori Devins said, "Our shirts are a little extreme, but I think God is spreading the word and having the youngsters shout out their faith."

But Biola University professor Craig Detweiler worries that extreme messages could be offensive to non-Christians. He asks, "Did Jesus build bridges or burn them? Did Jesus ever say they shall know us by our T-shirts?"

7. Once upon a time

a friend of mine bought a used pickup truck from a contractor. The original owner had painted his name on the doors, something like "Bob Christiansen - No Job Too Small."

My friend scratched off the "Bob" and the "iansen," and ended up with a truck that said "Christ - No Job Too Small."

I don't think he ever got keyed, but on the other hand the truck was in sad enough shape that it wouldn't really matter. In any event, he doesn't drive it any more-- it has gone to meet its maker, or maybe its smelter...
