4. A five speed bike with touring handlebars and fenders
you know, the old fashioned kind.... a couple of baskets would be nice too.

The gas burners are all gonna be lawn ornaments soon. Why bother with them?

6. I Doubt I'll Ever Own One
Edited on Sun Apr-17-05 11:43 PM by mahatmakanejeeves
See a Tucker

I've seen one, on display at an open house at the White Post, Virginia, auto restoration outfit.

I guess you'd need a daily driver to go with it, wouldn't you? Let's go with a '55 or '56 Packard. Purists will object to the V-8 as opposed to the straight 8 Packard had up until then, but who cares?

If cost were no object, I'd go with a Caribbean convertible. Ah, but cost is an object, so I'd inevitably end up with a Clipper. Could I endure the inginity? Sure I could.

1955-1956 Packards

I'm looking at the pictures as they download. You know something? One of these would really do it for me. That's my dream car right there. A 1955 or 1956 Packard. Oh, they were so handsome. And the prestige. There's nothing today to compare with one of these.

The handsomest car I've ever seen was a 1929 Packard roadster. That is a car that was truly from the Classic Era. The term "classic" is so misused.

Here's a 1930 Packard roadster:

Oh, no, I can't stop.

I'd rather have something in three-tone green, but this will give you an idea.

And then there is the 1954 Kaiser Manhattan....

7. Trabant Tramp..
Made by the former East German auto maker, a mini-SUV from the looks, like an old Kaiser/Willys.
