Your suggestions here. Subject: yellow ribbons on cars. (no real names)
I had one discussion of this topic pulled, I think because I used the man's name, which coulda got me Gitmoed, I guess (thanks, mods). So please, don't mention the man's name.

Okay, here we go.

Everytime I see one of those ribbons I think "I want to wrap that thing around someone's neck". So what are your suggestions that won't get you Gitmoed? What would you put on these ribbons?

Example: "Support the troops." and/or "Strangle the chimp."

Now it's your turn. Fill in the blank.

2. I don't really support the troops
this magnet just makes me feel good

Or:

These car magnets are all the rage-Go Hawgs! (There is actually a yellow ribbon sticker with the Arkansas Razorback leaping through the loop-I can't figure if it is supporting the troops or the football team)

3. the magnets are vacuous showmanship and hollow nationalism
what are they actually doing to help the veterans who have been wounded, killed, and put in traumatically irreparable harm's way due to a war based on a bogus casus belli and bad intell (aka sheer stupidity)?

I want a purple (blue& red= purple) ribbon that reads "one nation under fraud."

Might not put it on my car because the really ironic thing is that the magnets trap moisture under them and will eventually rust out the body of the car.

Towering ingenuity strikes again.

5. Hmmmm...
How's about some liberal capitalist out there come up with a bumper sticker that reads something like

Caution: In time of war, little yellow ribbons may not used as body armor.

6. we are starting a campaign
to send those yellow ribbons to * with a statement "We support the troops, when are you going to start?"
BTW at first those ribbons were made by an organization and the profits were sent to family organizations. This is no longer true.

7. They are all Sheeple.
The 80's had "Baby on Board" signs.

The 90's the Garfield window dolls.

This is just the hollow, vacuous trend of this decade all the jump-on-the-bandwagon road warriors want to get in on even though they really don't think about the larger ramifications behind that ribbon.

They think that all they have to do to prove their support is buy one of these ribbons manufactured in China with the companies pocketing most of the profits. As if this makes them makes them more "American".

I'm past the point of being pissed off when I see them. I just settle now for the satisfaction the pro-war chicken hawks who buy these things are spending half their paycheck a week to fuel their SUVs.
