Several other people and I have been working for the past few years to get the Wild River valley in the White Mountain Nat'l Forest designated as Wilderness and we are finally starting to make some progress. It looks like the Forest Service will recomend the area for Wilderness designation.
Now we are headed down to DC to lobby the oh so progressive NH delegation. If we can get them to introduce a bill we have a real shot of winning this battle.
Wish me luck. It has been a long uphill stuggle and given who we have representing us in NH the hard part has just begun.
