How to Shut Your Kid Up: The Customer of the Day

I was helping someone design a fence the other day. I heard this music coming from somewhere...not the cover-music system we run in the store, but other music. I'm lookin' around...finally I leaned over the counter and looked in her cart.

Her kid is sitting in the shopping cart watching Shrek on a portable DVD player, and not making a sound.

"Oh, that! We bought it to take on trips. One day I thought of this...it works, doesn't it?"

Damn straight it works.

Best money I ever spent.

It is certainly better than listening to "Are we there yet?."
