Did Elizabeth Dole have a relationship with another woman?

Someone told me she read somewhere that Elizabeth Dole had a "very long-term" relationship with a woman who was really upset that she doesn't acknowledge her publicly in some way.
I couldn't find anything about this in any search.
Has anyone heard or read of something like this?

5. I only heard that Rove had some secret sex dirt on her during her 2000 run

against Bush, and that was why she dropped out so quickly. People were saying that it was lesbian relationship, but, I never tried to look further.

his war wounds for his second wife?? The "war hero" who only joined the army at the end of the war when he knew he couldn't postpone it anymore? He is just another repuke hypocrite who is not redeemed in my book just because he got wounded. Maybe if he had joined earlier, when he should have, he would not have gotten wounded...or he might have died a hero.

Moral apex: Dumped first wife Phyllis to marry Libby, with whom he had been having a four-year affair. Not that Phyllis would have noticed his absence; during the last three years of their in-name-only marriage, he was home exactly once, for dinner. Oh, sorry, make that twice: The second time he was home was to tell her he was leaving her.
