Poll question: Does the sun rise in the east?
Forget about what you've been taught in school. Just lay it on the line.

8. Um... those of you who answered "depends on your location"
I'm wondering -- what location do you have in mind where the Sun rises in the west? I need to buy me some land there.

13. Even at the north pole,
the sun travels from east to west in the sky. Every direction OUTWARD is south, but circular motion can be east-west or west-east.

Also, the sun doesn't exactly rise at the north pole, not for the same reason it rises everywhere else.
