Jelly in the keyboard!
Dammit, I knew there was a good reason I don't eat at the computer! But I had to practically inhale my PB&J (got to go pretty quickly) and I dropped a big ol' glob of strawberry jam (or was it jelly?) between the k and the m keys, which are now sticky.

The more I tried to get it out, the more it fell. YUCK. Anyone ever had anything sticky fall into your keyboard? How do you deal with it?

13. Baby rats, then? I think they like jelly too, as long as it's not fat-free
And there's someone around here who found some of the critters in their glove compartment, so maybe they'd lend the little critters to ya. Baby rats are small enough to wiggle right between the keys!

8. At least it did not end up on the "L" key.
Then we would not have been able to tell yours and sniffa's posts apart.

10. This may work for you.
I don't believe I have tried this method yet, but it should work.

Unplug the keyboard and put it in the dishwasher, use either no soap or a minimal amount in the first cycle. When it is through washing, dry it with a hair dryer.

Most keyboards are designed with few metal parts, and water tight seal between the keys and the contacts. Even if the metal gets wet, it won't rust very much if you dry it immediately.

Of course, you could just buy another keyboard.
