DU Moderator Alumni Association: Former Moderators Check in!!

Yep, even I use to moderate back in 2002-3. It was a fun time but after 6-7 times (not consecutively) as serving as moderator it was time for me to hang up my glove permamently!!

Best of luck to all the new moderators and for anyone who is thinking about applying in the future - you should. It's fun and honestly it's pretty easy to do !

1. As a former Lounge Moderator...

Hell, I don't remember the dates. But I was a bit shocked when I applied and lo, and behold, I was chosen. I worked with the best group of people. It was quite a rewarding experience. :-)

Everyone should be a moderator at one time. It gives you a perspective about the hard work they do.

4. No, I had the Foreign Affairs Board for a term

That was all Palestine vs. Israel. I think I would have been safer actually living in the palestine than moderating that forum

3. My mail box would get so full when I moderated

that my yahoo kept trying to put my DU mail in my spam folder.

I moderated LBN, GD, Editorials, Media, Bush/Conservatives, 9/11, Civil Rights, Health/Education and, Justice/Public Safety. All at different times of course ;-).

I'd recommend moderating to everyone. I even enjoyed moderating the forums like the gun club that I had never visited before I became one of its moderators.
